Performances and Workshops at CommuniTree Festival, Wollaton Hall
This year’s CommuniTree Festival at Wollaton Hall is full of music, dance, rhythm, creativity and things to try.
The event takes place on the main lawn behind the hall, with space for people to sit, wander, join in, meet friends, bring children, or spend the afternoon moving between performances and workshops.
On the main stage, the programme travels through folk, West African music, young Nottingham artists, Afro-Colombian bullerengue and bhangra. Kelly’s Heroes are part of the line-up, with Celtic and Nottingham folk music. Batch Gueye joins us with West African griot music and Baye Fall singing. Blu.PrnT with Koko Kolly represent Nottingham’s young creative energy. Akolá Tambó share Afro-Colombian bullerengue, rooted in rhythm, dance and togetherness. Nachda Sansaar will close the afternoon with bhangra dance and music.
There is plenty happening away from the stage too. Workshops across the site include drumming, singing, dance, capoeira Angola, Baye Fall singing and chanting from West Africa, hula hooping, arts and crafts, and a bullerengue circle exploring Afro-Colombian traditional dance.
For families, there are activities for children and gentle creative spaces for babies and younger ones, including singing and sensory play with Rainbow Stripes.
Everything is open and welcoming. No experience is needed. People can join in, watch, listen, make something, have a go, or simply enjoy the atmosphere in the park.
CommuniTree Festival takes place at Wollaton Hall & Deer Park on Sunday 9 August 2026, from 12pm to 5pm.
